A Croquis sculpture (sculpted with a life model in the room) , studying the female form. Additive sculpture is where you purposefully add piece by piece of clay with the intended form in mind. Smoothing out slightly but not fully. To see the intended additive pieces shows thought and intention while celebrating the sculptural process. 
no carving was involved other than to hollow out the finished piece for firing.
